About the Role
Veloce Media Agency is seeking an exceptional Editor-in-Chief to lead and shape the editorial vision of SpeedHolics, the independent platform dedicated to classic sports car journalism and storytelling. This is a pivotal leadership position at the heart of our publishing strategy—responsible for curating, producing, and elevating world-class content across print and digital formats.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned editorial leader with deep roots in the world of classic cars and motorsport heritage, a proven track record in managing editorial teams, and a forward-thinking vision to grow SpeedHolics into the world’s most trusted and unbiased destination for automotive culture.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial Strategy & Vision: develop and execute the long-term editorial vision for SpeedHolics across print, web, and social media, with a focus on journalistic integrity, originality, and storytelling excellence.
Content Planning & Development: define and manage a compelling publishing calendar that spans SpeedHolics’ core editorial categories: Insights, Stories, Heroes, Lifestyle, Market.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: direct and inspire a global network of contributors, writers, and journalists. Coordinate with our Art Director on the production of magazines, yearbooks, monographs, and photobooks, ensuring every project meets Veloce’s high editorial and visual standards.
Market Awareness & Audience Understanding: interpret and anticipate the evolving interests of classic car collectors, aficionados, and the broader heritage market. Ensure content resonates with a global, refined readership.
Platform Growth & Online Direction: lead the development of SpeedHolics' digital presence, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience and integration with social, mobile, and multimedia platforms.
Photo & Visual Supervision: oversee the selection and curation of photography, collaborating with top photographers and ensuring each image aligns with the brand’s editorial voice.
Partnership & Network Building: leverage personal connections in the classic automotive scene and collaborate with key personalities, collectors, historians, and subject-matter experts to enrich SpeedHolics' authority.
Operational & Budget Management: operate within editorial planning tools, oversee budgeting for publications, and align resources with the business goals of the company.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as Editor-in-Chief or Senior Editor within a classic automotive or heritage media publication
Deep knowledge of the classic car industry, motorsport history, and collector culture
Demonstrated success in producing and managing magazines, annual publications, and premium photobooks
Strong editorial sensibility, storytelling talent, and critical eye for photography and layout
Experienced in managing editorial budgets, schedules, and production workflows
Fluent in English (spoken and written); Italian is a strong plus
Familiarity with the dynamics of digital publishing and modern advertising models
Networked within the global classic car and motorsport community
Entrepreneurial spirit and personal motivation to contribute to the long-term success of SpeedHolics
